So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Hey There!
This is my first post on this great site! I was just wondering if anyone has tabbed out the outro for Jimi Thing from the Live At Luther College Album?
I have it down from the Under the Table album, but what he's playing on the LLC is so much cooler!
Also count me in when the DVD comes out. I know a few more people that would be interested as well.

if i understand correctly, the outro is called WHAT WILL BECOME OF ME. the tab for it is on the site along with a video to help you out. It's also the same thing as verse of Patala Naga Pampa. Dave just goes into it from the last chord on Jimi thing

Funny how Dave does that. And how Fm, G, A, and Bm make up the chords to three or four (at least) DMB songs...

Hey Thanks,
I always thought he was just ad libbing through there. God, the stretches on these songs are killer! Probably because I've only been playing guitar for about a year.(bass before that) Did it take you guys long to get past the finger cramps of playing this style?

what helps is getting the fingering down for the nature intro of tripping billies ...once you are comfortable with that and can place the fingering correctly w/o hesitation then everything comes easy

took me about a month to really get used to it. billies, satellite, #41, etc all use the same sort of stretches. sometimes i would just hold the stretches out for a while, or slowly work on chord changes and sped up and eventually i got it. easy peasy after a while.

just keep at it, bud.

it did hurt for me when I started doing these stretches, but I have always had nimble fingers, so they came quicker. Here's a test, play crash into me all the way through, and if you can do that, you have mastered the stretching.

i say if you can play captain all the way through you have mastered the stretching... crash is way easier than that, in captain you have to keep that stretch but move it around, in crash you just hold it still and shift 2 fingers.
