So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Thanks to Pilot on this thread

Code: Select all
Ending
This is the ending from VH1 Storytellers.
Repeat these first two lines as desired, and at some point instead of playing the second line switch to the part after this.
e:----------------------------------------------------------------|
B:----------------------------------------------------------------|
G:-----------x-x-x--4--4---4-4-4------------x-x-x--4--4---4-4-4---|
D:-----------x-x-x--4--2---2-2-2------------x-x-x--4--2---2-2-2---|
A:---2--2----x-x-x--2---------------2--2----x-x-x--2--------------|

A:-----------x-x-x--2-----------------------x-x-x--2--------------|
d:---2--2---------------------------2--2--------------------------|
The next part comes in right where the second line in the above part would, and is tabbed out through the end of the song. Dave and Tim both play the same first line of this part, which has a really cool effect.

it depends if I work or not. If I work, I go to sleep between 12 am - 2 am. When I don't work the next day, it's an all-nighter. Get to me soon tonight. it's 11:50, and I will be in bed at 2. So, get me soon.

christ isaac! you're nearing 3000...........!
Well anyways, listen to it. after you hear it enough you can start to pick up how he does it. its really not that hard. forget about the lyrics. don't think about when he comes in by reference to the lyrics, just listen to timing of the guitar alone.

I could have sworn someone talked about the "end jam", then I kicked myself for posting it and not seeing it. So yeah.

i'm on the west coast, so i always assume if i'm up really late, then the other side of the country is probably asleep.
One night we were really hammered at midnite with a buddy of mine who's from D.C. and we got into a stupid arguement about something and he swore he was right. So we egged him into calling his mom to prove us wrong. She was so damn pissed. Woke her up at 3 in the morning drunk as a skunk (in violation of his parole or probation, never can remember the difference).
Stupid story i know. I'm just bored.
