Proceeds to Benefit Charities in LeRoi's Memory

As part of a continual effort to celebrate the life and memory of our friend and brother, founding DMB member LeRoi Moore, we are releasing his last concert performance as the next Live Trax volume. LeRoi performed his last Dave Matthews Band show on June 28, 2008 at Nissan Pavilion in Bristow, VA, not far from his Charlottesville home. Proceeds from the sales will be donated by Dave Matthews Band in LeRoi's memory to the Charlottesville Music Resource Center and the Boys and Girls Club of Charlottesville-Albemarle, among other charitable organizations which best reflect LeRoi's spirit and passions.

Highlights of the Nissan show include the acoustic version of The Space Between, a song that had not been played live since 04. Sledgehammer made its live debut at the Nissan show, afterwards becoming a favorite on summer tour set lists. Other highlights include the ever-passionate Don't Drink the Water, a tight version of So Damn Lucky followed by The Dreaming Tree; Boyd's jam on Louisiana Bayou and LeRoi and Rashawn's jam on Anyone Seen the Bridge are also noteworthy. The show ended with another summer tour favorite, Sly and the Family Stone's Thank You (Falletin Me Be Mice Elf Agin).

06.28.08 Nissan Pavilion at Stone Ridge, Bristow, VA is now available for Pre-Order as a 2-CD set or as a digital download in MP3 or FLAC format for a Special Pre-Order only price. We are also offering a couple of bundles with this Pre-Order.

- Live Trax volume 14 with a 100% pre-shrunk, ringspun cotton T in chocolate featuring the flower sax logo on the front and Fire Dancers with lotus flower logo on the back. The flower sax image was originally used on the final show poster of the 2008 Summer Tour to celebrate LeRoi's birthday. (available in sizes S through 3XL)

- Live Trax volume 14 with volumes 10-13 for a Special Pre-Order Only Price

Live Trax Volume 14 will be available for Pre-Order at a special Pre-Order only price until 3 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2009. Click here to Pre-Order.

Another '08 release.... :stare:
I'm getting pissed that I decided I wanted to own all of these a long time ago.

Did you even bother reading why the've released this particular 08 show? Because I felt the same until I did.

Can someone post a pic of that shirt?

Yeah I read it, and while I realize that it holds certain precedence in DMB history, its the third live trax release within like an 6 week span. I'm not trying to undermine the importance of Leroi's last show because obviously that's a big thing, but listening to this will be the EXACT same show as the last two releases. Personally, I would have preferred that they pulled some show out of the vault that they considered to be one of Leroi's best shows over the years, that way I would lsiten to it for that reason and not just because it was his last.

Edit: i just re-read that and realized I didn't articulate myself well at all.

Yeah I can understand that. But this just seems like one they had to release, and the sooner the better for it to be appreciated the most. Were the last two Trax really released within the last 6 weeks and they were also frmo 08? Because then I guess it really doesn't make the most sense.

Yeah I know what you mean and I understand why they're doing it, I just think its a bit stupid that I'm pretty much gonna buy it and then put it on my shelf just for the sake of having it (which is actually the case with a few of the LT's).

But yeah, LT13 was like a month before, and Mile High was just after, and the sets are pretty much identical.

They should've done a double-disc release, ldo. One from the vault and his last show with clips, interviews, and tons of extras.

What I really want is a '99 release, I mean, "Listener Supported" - Greatest album ever made... EVER!
