Guitar for Christmas

Unread post by DrumsFoDaSoul » Mon Dec 10, 2007 8:34 pm

Hey guys, I was wondering if people could give me some insight into electric guitars. For Christmas I thought I wanted a nicer Alvarez. Something like this http://www.davesguitar.com/product/AJ60S.JPG

But then I figured that I wanted to branch out of playing Dave songs and just learn some new/genre on the electric. Any recommendations on the kind I should ask for. I was thinking about just a Stratocaster.

Go try out a few guitars. Strats and Pauls, for instance, have completely different feels and sounds. I personally don't dig Fender guitars at all, but tons of people do. Just get whatever sounds and feels best to you.
