Quite an easy song to play. I have all of it except one part. Anyone want to help?
Code: Select all
Damien Rice
Rootless Trees
Tuning: Half Step Down
Here are the basic chord shapes for the verse, he picks through these.
|--------3--------------- -1&0---
|--0&1---1---3---0&1----- -3-----
|--2-----0---0---0------- End on -2----- Then I suspect is goes to some variation of F
|--2-----3---0---0------- -0----- and then on to G. But it’s tough to hear.
|--0---------3---2------- ------- Any ideas?
|------------------------ -------
Chorus
|--0---1---0---0---
|--1---1---1---1---
|--2---2---0---0---
|--2---3---2---x---
|--0---3---3---2---
|------------------

the vaginal fluid they are secreting is the same composition of urine minus the uric acid and phosphorous. i learned that in 11th grade anatomy. btw, sometimes it does have a FAINT smell of Pizzle.

I play it with a capo on the 4th fret, standard tuning...Em, C, G, D for the most part...and Am, C, D for the last line of the verse. I don't think it is 100% correct, but it doesn't sound too bad.

here are the chords for the intro, i won't tab the whole thing out cause there's a lot of extra notes in there but basically it's capo 4
Em
x
0
0 you can hear him go from the 4 to the 0, makes a really pretty sound
4
2
0
C
x
3
0
2
3
x
G
x
0
0
0
2
3
F# (D)
x
0
0
4 he does the same lick from the F# that he did from the Em
(0) i put () around 0 cause i'm nto sure about that note.

I kind of figured it was with a capo, but it also sounds decent half step down. Thanks for the the info with the capo on the 4th! I'll have to try that out asap.

yea, you had it figured out perfectly. i just used what you wrote and transcribed it to the capo. sounds good either way, but capo is so much easier than tuning down

anybody want to try to transcribe 9 crimes. All the tabs that are on eskimo friends had it starting with a D chord, but it's obviously an A root, what i've figured it out is 5 7 9 5 x x, im not sure what that is exactly
