Interpretation of lyrics

Unread post by flandaneran » Wed Sep 20, 2006 2:06 pm

Dave writes great lyrics, pure and simple. There are a couple of tunes that I was wondering what people thought the songs were about. I think, lyrically, the first album was probably the most abstract. So how does everyone interpret songs like satellite, warehouse, what would you say, 41, and so on….

if i remember correctly.. #41 was actually written about an old friend/ manager who sued dave over funds or somethinng. corin capshawe is the first name that comes to mind but i know thats not it. and i also spelt it wrong :P.

but basically #41 was about them making it and everyone wanting a piece and his falling out with a long time friend. i read it in step into the light.. but that was a while ago. im sure nitro or someone can correct me where im wrong :D
