Different chords?
I am in the process of writing some songs and for some reason i keep finding myself using the same 6 or 7 chord shapes over and over just in different places, any ideas on some less used chords or shapes to use?

- Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": There are five different types of chairs in this hotel room.
A great site that I've recommended to just about everybody who plays guitar is looknohands.com: http://www.looknohands.com/chordhouse/g ... ex_rb.html
Scale fretboard diagrams to chord voicings (different ways to play chords) all up and down the neck. A great guitar tool.
You should also look into the CAGED method. Essentially it is a way to play the same chord up and down the neck by remembering different chord fingerings. A good place to start: http://www.guitarzone.com/forum/index.p ... opic=71180
Anyways, those should point you in the right direction, get your creativity flowing, at least. There are many chord books you can get your hands on through the net and most likely at your local guitar/music store.
