Dreams of Our Fathers

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Dreams of Our Fathers

Unread post by RGibson77 » Tue Nov 12, 2002 10:11 pm

So I'm sitting here and looking at the Everyday tabs and its sort of ironic that DOOF is even on there considering the fact that Dave is never going to play it again and therefore no video will ever be available... yeah Dreams of Our Fathers sucks...

I wouldn't say its ironic, but then again, its ironic how nobody ever uses that word the right way.

Wow. I just checked on the DMB Tour Archive and they haven't played that song live once. It's not their best, but it's light years ahead of Mother Father, and they've done that 7 times!

I wish Mother Father wouldn't have happened, if only I could travel back in time to do something to prevent it, maybe pull the fire alarm at the stuido while they were recording it. Or kidnap Santana or something...

well I guess its about time that the band put out some mediocre songs. Yeah those 2 are probably the ones I listen to the least from Everyday.
But all in all I think that was a very good album (please don't everybody hit me with sticks) :( I mean don't get me wrong, it's not really a DMB album, but its still good.

peace,
Ken

The reason they have never played DOOF is because when they play it live dave has problems keeping up with the lyrics because of the funny rhythms of guitar compared to lyrics. They SC'ed it a few times and it didn't work out.

I like Everyday too man, it's not the best CD, but I think all the songs are pretty good with the exception of Dreams and Mother Father... Now that Folsom is out I have a new appreciation for all of them.
