NEW ORIGINAL

Unread post by firedancer86 » Sun May 18, 2003 4:18 pm

still very much in the works...the whole thing is at 11 minutes now (an acoustic epic), and the solos are improved, but I think it is relaxing to listen to...I will put up the first half of it, and if ou guys don't like any of it, then I will not put up the rest...but, this is very progressive...moving in and out of time sigs and flucuating between chord voicings/patters/ majors/minors and alot of bizzarr chords...alot of the phases (if you will) or "movements" are reaccuring too...the end part (the last 2 minutes) is a reprise of the intro...and fades out the way it came in, so you could call it an relaxing epic acoustic bit...please tell me what you think if you take the time to listen  (p.s. like I said, "working progress"...I started birthing the idea 3 hours ago)...

Screw you fire  j/k ;)

I don't really know what you could improve on it , it seems to me like you're doing fine on your own improvisations :)

At 1:40 is that a little error with the bassy sound or is it just me ?

I liked parts of it but was a little bored with others. If I was doing something else and it was just playing in the background I would like it. It is soothing, but again, as background music. It was a little too long for me to earnestly listen to....if that makes sense, and I skipped ahead to hear some of the changes.

I agree...good calls...one thing about it is that it is hard to convey what I hear in it...other instruments...other parts with reacurring vocal patterns...nice drum changes to keep it fresh...all of that would be needed to justify the whole thing...if only I could get some guys to do stuff like prog drumbs
