Beatles cover tonight...

Unread post by dmb66 » Wed Apr 26, 2006 1:01 am

I threw together this Beatles cover tonight...it's my first recording with my new Larrivee, and I think at least the guitar sounds quite good. Please let me know what you think. Thanks.

Sounds great man... What kind of setup are you running? I'm still trying to tweak mine. I think the vocals and guitar was balanced well.

Oh, that magical place "just outside of Philly". I went to Bloomsburg and everybody was from "just outside of Philly" :)

Great job and yes your guitar sounds great. I like tempo change, at first I was like this is going to be one hell of a long song at that tempo. Way to change things up.

Hey thanks for the response. As for setup, it's pretty basic and cheap. For guitar, I plug my Larrivee D-03e straight into the computer, and pan that to one side. Then I play the whole song again with my computer mic on the guitar instead, and I pan that to the other side. The vocals are done again through the computer microphone. Of course, I worked with compression, reverb, and some other fun stuff. I'm using audacity to record.
