headphones help

Unread post by 6_strings_for_life » Tue Mar 28, 2006 4:46 pm

Ok, so I just got this new Peavey amp, but it did not come with a place to plug in headphones. Is there anyway that I could hook up some kind of an apparatus that would allow me to plug in a pair of headphones? I remember someone saying that this was possible awhile ago. Thanks for any help.

thanks for the reply, but there is no output. On the back there is a jack that says 'preamp output' but im assuming that wont work.

edit: The set of headphones that I have came with an adaptor so they can be plugged into either. Here is a link to the amp. If you look at the pictures it gives a look at all the jacks.

Wait, so there is only an input plug? Peavey sucks, I clearly remember my brothers' distinguished hatred for the company :P. Try the preamp output, I'm only assuming this will work, though.

I once had a Peavey. It had headphones out, but it sucked anyway.

Are you using it for an acoustic guitar?

Is there anyway that I could take it to a radioshack and get them to install one?

it should be possible... but there may not be a way except for splicing the output from the speaker which means that you would have no control over volume, tone, bass, mid, high w/e
