Blues Improv in F

Unread post by Tranman66 » Wed Jan 04, 2006 8:47 pm

I am trying to get down the blues cuz i think i think its essential to know how to solo, and a good way to start is with the blues.

So this is a short 2 min improv i recorded, with a D minor in the background.

I need tips and critiques and soloing and techniques. Thanks so much!

A few bends fall short of the target pitch. It seems kind of aimless, but it's not bad. What I do when I feel my solos wandering is sing what I want to play. It really helps me focus and usually I can establish a new melody or motif or whatever.

Good start.
