Hello Again: The Album! (or What SU Should Have Been)

Unread post by GSR » Tue Dec 13, 2005 11:25 pm

Alright motherfuckers! I think this idea could have enough discussion for it's own thread.

Here's the idea: the album that stand up could have been.

What songs you would want on it, why they deserve to be on there, why it didn't happen, if there's any hope it will, etc. Let 'er rip.

my answer to what stand up could/should have been, off the top of my hand:

album title: Hello Again! (after years without a studio album from the boys).
tracks, subject to change with discussion from y'all:
1. Hello Again (uncut)
2. Joy Ride
3. Trouble With You
4. She Says
5. Good Good Time
6. Crazy Easy
7. Sugar Will
8. Sweet Up and Down
9. Heathcliff's Haiku Warriors
10. Help Myself
11. Get In Line
12. Louisiana Bayou

Ya, whatever you want, anything like that that hasn't been officially released on a studio album.

HHW would not translate well to full band
Help Myself was recorded in the studio and released on the Scream soundtrack

JTR, redo Monkey Man, and bring back Lillywhite, and its like butta

Build you a house would make a good addition too.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

Album Title: I like a couple of titles
1) Cross The Ice
2) The Sweet Up and Down
3) Dressed In Black
4) Bite Of The Blade
5) Where The Answers Lie

1) Hello Again
2) Crazy-Easy
3) What She Said
4) Joyride
5) Trouble With You
6) Dressed In Black
7) Sweet Up and Down
8) JTR
9) Monkey Man
10) Toy Soldiers
11) Cigarette Lit
12) Sugar Will
Hidden Track to close it out: Loving Wings

Now that would be one kickass album. It wouldnt surpass BTCS by any stretch, but it would be right up there as one of their better albums. It still pisses me off they played those 5 songs all summer and only put one of them on the actual album. They could have built such a solid CD if they just used those 5 songs as the framework.

Monkey Man would need a fat sax solo to spice it up. on lillywhite it runs kinda long.

Yeah thats would be nice. It would also be cool to hear Boyds parts on it since they never got a chance to add those in.
