First off, I would like to say thanks to all the people here who are dedicated to helping others become better musicians by being part of a great community. I started browsing this place about two years ago when i first picked up the guitar. I am happy to say that i have become a decent guitar player in that time and I owe much of it to this site.
I have been trying to start recording some of my material with cool edit pro but i am running into a problem. How can I apply an effect like reverb just to my vocals?
I may be using the program wrong but what i do is layer tracks, so my first track is guitar, then the next track i record the first track and whatever else im adding...bass, piano, etc...
this works fine until i want to do vocals with any kind of interal effect.
Am I using the multitrack function incorrectly? The way I am doing it also makes it very difficult to mix properly.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks again
Ryan

Re: Help with cool edit pro
Idont have th program on this laptop im using but, if you double click on the Track you want to edit, it will bring it into single track mode. From there explore some of the options up top, look for reverb. IM sorry I csnt remember. BUt, if you follow my intial directions and check all ther options, you should find it.RunsWithBuffalo wrote:First off, I would like to say thanks to all the people here who are dedicated to helping others become better musicians by being part of a great community. You should do you vocals on a seperate track so then you can go in it individually and edit/add effects. Double click on your vocal track to switch to the Edit View. In order to add effects you have to highlight the whole track, then go to the effects menu and add whatever you want.
I really don' t know what your trying to do, but PM or IM me and i will gladly take you step by step.
