So Right Tab

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

So Right Tab

Unread post by BenHarper » Wed Oct 12, 2005 5:00 pm

Just got a new Epiphone, Les Paul Baritione. I noticed that So Right on dmbtabs just doesn't sound so right. All of the mutes should be an open B string. Also the last three notes sound way off. Does anyone have better tab for this. I was trying the last 3 notes as 11-11-12 on the D string but I know that isn't the way Dave does it. Is that how Dave plays it, and the band gives it the better sound. Or is the tab just wrong?

Well, Ben, I assure the tab isn't wrong, it was tabbed from a video of Dave playing it. I play it on my Raised B guitar sometimes if I'm bored play SOL, but the timing on the song is tricky. And it does sound like shit if you don't hit it right. I don't know how else to help you. Sorry.

I just watched Folsom Field and I am pretty damn sure that Dave is hitting 11-11-12 on the D String with his pinky, while muting the rest, not as described below:
D--9h11---9h11--9h11--------
A--X-------X------X------------
E--7-------7------ 7------------
B--------------------------------
