Timmy Questions

Unread post by bobs14 » Fri Sep 02, 2005 4:36 am

I've been playing the Timmy parts to a lot of songs, if anyone would be able to help me out with these questions I would appreciate it.

What effects and settings create that sound that comes out of Tim during DDTW, is he delaying and distorting pitch harmonics with the rotosphere thing? what the hell is that?

How do you get that octave shift thing in the last stop, DDTW, Watchtower (chicago) and other songs, it's obviously not a wah-wah pedal?, because I've tried that and it dosen't make a high enough sound. I'm talking about the digital sounding slide effect.

what tuning is timmy in on Rhyme and Reason on red rocks (down half a step or drop C)? I can't tell

i believe alot of the stuff on watchtower (chicago) is a digitech whammy..........its a pretty complicated pedal. my friend has one. its worth the $275 but the original issue ones were better so i hear

He also uses a slide so he can go way beyond the frets. On the last stop outro he is almost at the bridge with his slide.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away
