interesting blurb from RS article...

Unread post by c_tietze » Fri Jun 03, 2005 3:39 pm

...."This has opened our eyes that 'Hey, Dave can write songs, but the rest of us can also bring in ideas that will be just as strong, if not stronger,' " says Lessard, 31, who cranked out a grunge-inspired guitar part that became the basis of the ode to oral sex, "Hunger for the Great Light."

Am I missing something? I don't get the writer's reference at all.

My apologies if this was discussed prev., my search yielded 0.

I guess so, I'll have to read the lyrics.

I was too quick to dismiss this song, now I guess I'm paying for it, wallowing in my ignorance. Heh heh.

EDIT:

I wanna be your hunger
I wanna see you open wide
And then I could go down for you
I wanna blow your mind

It's my aim to kill you
My aim's to love you

You and I are such a pretty thing
Smile, smile, you know you thrill me
Cross your heart and hope to die
You know I'd love to

I wanna be your hunger
I wanna see you open wide
And when I go down for you
I wanna blow your mind

Go Dave! Ala Crash Into Me, huh?

no more rapunzelish. The second verse of Dream Girl is more like Crash, when he talks about 'feeling like creep"

Did you guys hear any of the 6-1-05 set?

30 min + Two Step!

Also, I really liked the SU material's transition to the live stage.

I like the baseball uniform cover of the new issue. Pretty nifty.

Nice. I bet dave loved that shoot.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away
