Lost Acoustics Discrepancies

Unread post by Oregon41 » Thu Apr 28, 2005 4:44 pm

I have recently finished finding the entire Lost Acoustics, but there are some songs that don't seem completely right to me, so I wanted to see what you guys think.

First of all, Help Myself seems to end abruptly at 4:26. Does this happen to anyone else?

Second of all, in #40, I can disctinctly hear cymbals at about 2:45. Every LA #40 I find is the same. Is this correct? I thought they were all Dave solo or D+T shows?

One last thing: Leave Me Praying and Reconcile Our Differences/DDTW seem like two different performances of the same song. Seeing as how DDTW evolved from LMP I could understand this; just wondering if I didn't make a mistake and now have two of the same song.

Thanks for any help you guys can give.

I think I did get it from you. I got the majority of them from a zip file; a few of them I had to find on my own, with some help from DMBTabs members. Thanks though to both of you guys. I guess with #40 I got the better end of the bargain anyways.

I believe thats a NO-NO. You have changed the original lost acoustics which is something to be frowned upon in the trading community. Even if it is a better version you should make that extremely clear when passing these files along.

yeah well, theres a few versions of the lost acoustics out, some have leave me praying-->ddtw 2 files, some as 1. some have other changes, a very very large distrobution of this was made on ants marching awhile back where i got this. the original source for this distro was all mp3. so if you ask me, adding a better #40 is the least of the worries for whoever made this.

OK, there is a thread started becuase someone thinks their Lost Acounstics is not What it should be. That says it all there. DO NOT INSERT FILES you think are better. If you do so keep the original version there as well.

But you hadn't addressed why you failed to tell him. if you did, there wouldn't be a thread about the subject.

Don't play it off as ignorance or saying he wasn't allowed to DL it, YOU PUT that file in your getfile specifically for people to DL. !!!!!!

Just put the original file back in there if you are going to be distributing this across the world.

Actually, it turns out I didn't get it the zip file from filmdude. I got it from someone else, but it didn't include any version whatsoever of #40; or The Space Between, Everyday, or Leave Me Praying for that matter. So we can rule that out. I got #40 from someone else when I asked for help about it, and when I pointed out the cymbals, he was as surprised as I was. I'm thinking the Lost Acoustics have been getting modified for a long time. That's why looking for all of the right files was such a huge pain in the ass.

I'm pretty sure that is the correct version. I have that one as well.
