Friday Night Show

Unread post by ticohans » Mon Mar 31, 2003 10:01 pm

Hey guys, just thought I'd let you all know that a buddy of mine and I gave a concert last Friday night here at Davidson. We played in the student union in the main room, and the place was packed. I was totally surprised. I played guitar and sang, and my friend sang some and did percussion stuff (congas, djembe, shakers, etc...). We played for like an hour and fourty minutes, basically all originals. It really was a good time. It's the first time that I've ever played an event where I was the only performer. Up until now, they've all been open mic nights and the like. Anyway, it was a really really good experience, and hopefully there will be more to come.

Thats awesome man. I can't wait til my band(well not really-just me and a drummer but it works) takes off and we start to play some small places. I hope I get the chance to do that, but me and another guitarist are considering playing just the two of us like a D+T show but we are both gonna use effects and stuff.

Peace

That's great!. I really like One More Night. I've listened to it a bunch. Too bad I'm far away from NC. I'd love to come listen.

Im looking for a percussionist right now. I used to play with one in the summer and it was alot of fun. I think that they add alot more to the sound than another guitarist. Glad to hear that you are playing out with some of your great originals tico, keep up the good work- :D

Tape your next performance, Tico. Gotta get that grassroots movement going! :D
