Adding a 2nd guitar part to Warhouse

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Adding a 2nd guitar part to Warhouse

Unread post by mlb1399 » Wed Apr 06, 2005 12:51 pm

My friend and I am going to start playing together a few times a month. We are both into DMB quite a bit and I just started thinking on how we can get 2 guitars on certain songs. I know the easy choice would be to play Timmy's fills but neither of us are there yet. Just wanted to get some advice on what the 2nd guitar could play and check with my line of thinking so far.

I know it's in the key of Bm so these chords could be played:
Bm C#m?? D Em F#m G A

The intro is in the Bm scale so I am assuming you would use that for any lead(B C# D E F# G A).

Anything else or is any of this wrong?

I guess I haven't tried it yet. It sill would be nice to know what scales and what chords can be played if you wanted to add your own flavor to it.

Tim's guitar drops the 6th string to B.

Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

I don't know if it's exactly what he played on his cover, but there's a couple suggestions in that thread.

You could just have the second person playing the Bass part to the song.
