From interviews i have seen Daves view on God is he believes in him, but he doesnt like the idea that he isnt in control of his life. Although i dont know what bible he is reading but mine says free will.

He's definitely not religious. Spiritual, I think so, but he doesn't adhere to any religions. It seems he's struggled with the concept of God, and I know I read in the recent past that he said something to the effect of "I'd really like to believe in God." I don't know if he's found any answers, but he certainly is asking questions.

A lot of his lyrics mock the idea religion...so who knows.

On Charlie Rose he said something about believing in a higher power, but not God per se.

Also, as far as his sister's death and things like that that have happened. He said that when something like that happens, you hear people say "God has a plan" He said that if things like his sister dying are all part of God's plan, then God's plan must be very fickle.

Dave is a fucking cool guy.

I know how tough it can be to believe in God when you do not like the idea that you are not in control of your life. Thats kinda the way I feel.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

im not tryin to make a religious promo and anoy the hell out of anyone, but as a christian i have never felt like i dont have control over my life. In my opinion God is so all knowing that when he created everything he knew how things where going to set in motion. We still have control over our lives, it's just the man upstairs has seen the spoiler and knows whats going to happen. He's giving us a choice on what to believe and tells us the concequences of our choices.... Anyway, not trying to push anyone and be an ass but what are some ways where you dont feal like your in control?

I am a very christian person also.

But when you think about it God created our minds. So he created our reactions to every situation. So really he picked the outcome of everything even though it may still be out minds choosing to do what we do. Its almost like god created us to what he wanted our fate to be.

And i'm not a christian, and I refuse to believe that there is a being that knows every movement and choice I am going to make and has, in fact, made them for me.

If you ever want to ruin a date, mention God.
