Hey guys, I'm trying to learn the maker, and its pretty much a huge pain in the ass, ANY advice at all would be great. I'm not sure it's necesarry to mute certain strings or whatnot, but either way, it's sounding like crap.
Thanks

there are 2 version of the song on the site, one is a lot easier and doesn't include the slides and what not. i started with that version and went from there. once you get the rythym down, it makes it easier to learn the harder one. just my opinion, though. i'm sure there are people on here who play it better then me and can give better advice on playing it. good luck!

If you listen to the original daniel lanois version you can kinda hear the slides a little easier than the dave live versions.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away
