Well... um... yes?Dheibs wrote:should i get an mbox or not?
(That was a sarcastic answer. We cannot possibly answer this question for you. Does it fit in your budget? Do you think you will ever need more than two inputs? Is your computer powerful enough to run ProTools?)

They're good but you pay a premium for the name. It's like a Lexus vs. a Toyota. If you only commute and your not cruising trying to pick up chicks than a Toyota is fine.

i owned one for a while and I was not very happy with it. The m-box does not work well with every type of computer(it didn't work with mine), and their were some other little things. But the actaul sound quality is good(assuming it works with your system...)
There are better options out there in my opinion, you can get a firewire audio interface for about the same price.

If you are looking for a two-input box, then I would look at the M-Audio Firewire Solo, M-Audio Firewire 410, Presonus Firebox. If you don't have Firewire (hopefully you do), then M-Audio makes some good USB-based products.
