i just wanna know. Dont recommend me alvarez, seagull or anything. I already know, i was just wondering how good are the three brands up there for acoustic.

my cousin wanna buy an acoustic and her budget is 250, and i just wanna get educated on those 3 brands.

i really like washburns. jasmine are economy and dont really belong grouped with washburn and fender. and i believe fender acoustics are below average.

crap crap and crap. Get cash and save up for better. Almost every 250 dollar guitar you buy will be crap no matter what brand.

Not true, not true at all. My washburn was $300 and it might be one of the nicest guitars I've ever played. It has held up great, and I play alot, take it to gigs, ect.

I also record all my songs with it, I have access to a martin, but I think the washburn sounds much better. listen for yourself:

crap crap and more crap...

the only lower end guitar that I've purchased that has sounded half way decent is a Taylor Big Baby ($350)...other than that, anything low end is often over-built, heavily braced, heavily finished, have excess glues and wood fillers, and is made from plywood or laminates...

a quality guitar uses quality woods, quality materials and appointments, is lightly braced, has a thin finish, and is a very delicate instrument to name a very few...(that's why things such as humidity are so important!!!)

and dont be fooled by the salesguy who says "it's a solid spruce top", cause that grade of spruce is probably equivalent to that found in a rotting spruce tree in your back yard...

i dont know man, the taylor big baby is horrible compare to all other guitars at its range. Thats quite a statement to make. i played a couple of big babies and they sound disgraceful to its maker.

i guess you've played every guitar under 300 dollars... fact of the mattter is thats his budget, dont tell him to save more or that he cant afford anything half decent with the money hes got. the things i have bolded in your post are ussually true, but that doesnt mean you cant make a decent economy guitar with those materials. just give him your opinion on what he asked for man. if you think he cant purchase a playable instrument for that price then say so. i still say for that pricerange, imo a washburn is the best buy
