I needs a new mic

Unread post by sacdeez » Thu Dec 02, 2004 2:23 pm

I'm looking to get a mic that I can use for vocals when recording, something fairly inexpensive but decent quality. I'd also like to be able to record some guitar/vocal work for a demo cd of covers we're putting together for some local bars to try and get some gigs around here.

Suggestions please!! Thanks much.

The SM57 is by far the best mic in its price range... nothing more you can say except BUY IT!

The Shure SM58 is pretty much the industry standard for live vocal mics, and I've had nothing but success with them...really rugged and priced under $100...the SM57 is nice, but it is only uni-directional, as opposed to the SM58, which is omni-directional...
