pulse drum set

my little brother is thinking about taking up the drums...he doesnt have a lot of money, i found the pulse 5-piece set with cymbols for $300. i have gotten mixed reviews, some said it was great, most said bad cymbols, bad pedal, and bad heads. the biggest thing is he doesnt have much money and he usually doesnt stick with an instrument. for a beginner is this set worth it?? and maybe just make some upgrades?

chances are that if hes just starting he wont stick with it. go cheap you can always upgrade.
