Crush Cover, that I plan on rerecording

Unread post by ChineseDM » Tue Oct 05, 2004 4:26 am

Heya's, got back into guitaring recently and got a new computer/mic so i started visiting the site again and getting back into the groove slowly, and this is my first recording actually, i recorded this crush but that was before i went to "Dave's Guitar Discussion" and knew that some tabs were off, that and I was just going faster than expected, and had various strumming / muting / just-thought-of-the-next-lyrics problems amongst other problems, so i will be re recording this later if you guys don't wanna hear 2 crushes from me, and i slipped and fell and broke my fall with my hand earlier tonight and i dunno what i landed on but it started bleeding viciously and stinging, so i didn't even bother to finish putting in the rest of the bass notes in there *shrug* thanks

Vocals and guitar both need polishing, but good start. Try to be a little more fluid with both. Vocally, don't try to sound like dave, just try to have good tone.

I would recommend starting on an easier song, pick a musician that you find pretty easy to emmulate and just learn their songs...even other dave songs really. Just something that you can sing to and play no problem. Once you can do that then you can start to feel out your own style...then it'd be a good time to tackle something like crush because it'll come easier.

or, er, something like that...
