make a difference?
does it make a difference if the E string while laying on the bridge has no arc at all? it just goes straight across but it doesn't hit the fret board unless ofcourse i push it down?

if i understand what you're saying it shoud cause nothing but tuning issues, if its an electric loosen the strings and lower the tailpiece

if you look at your saddle and the bridge...your strings usually go over the bridge into the peg holes with a slight slant, if you will.
My Low E doesnt have any slope it lies directly flat except it isn't hitting the fret board unless ofcourse i make it while forming a chord...

like a metal jaunt that looks like a trapezoid that holds the strings and is suspended above the top of the guitar
