i have the loop station as well and it is pretty awesome. any really cool things youve figured out so far? ive found that if you want to put a bunch of things on top of each other, overdubbing all of it onto the same track is good, but if you want to start taking things away, it creates a problem...yes?

Yeah, i always end up over dubbing the shit out of it, then unfortunatly ruining one note, is there a way you can get it out, or do you have to start over?

im pretty sure you have to start over...because im in the same boat you are. or even something to press to get it to erase the last thing you dubbed. but sadly i havent figured any of this out. i will post it if i do, and hopefully you can do the same.

The RC-20XL (the follow-up) does have an "erase" function. Not to mention the extra memory.

It's way too expensive though...

Yeah, I know how to use the erase function, i just have to hold to stop pedal down for 2+ seconds, but I'm talking about deleting one specific part, like a baseline for instance. Or if i accidentally mute a string i;'m not supposed to, is there a way i can erase that, but leave everything else?

That's what the XL is supposed to be able to do.

Check out http://www.bossus.com On the frontpage they got a video demonstration.
