Takamine EG523SC

Unread post by lovemonkeymc » Sun Aug 08, 2004 12:41 pm

I know there are some Tak' players in here, so just wondering if anyone could give me some feedback from playing and/or owning an EG523SC jumbo. Thinking of buying...thanks.

Yes much agreed. I own the EG530SC and absolutely love it. Unplugged, Plugged, either way it sounds awesome. Three other of my friends own Tak's, all different models, and each one sounds great. They are great guitars and so far in my experience with about 5 different models and sizes, I have yet to find one that doesn't sound good! :D

Thanks, I think I may have a new Gee-Tar!

I have this guitar. I love everything. It's beatiful, it sounds great unplugged or plugged, the action is perfect. I have no complaints. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

They are excellent guitars for the price!

I'd definitely get it. Taks are awesome -- I have an EG561C. Just got it. It's great because it's got great looks and a great sound to boot. Plugged it's great too. Mine's a little more compact, but it still plays like a bigger, regular acoustic.

Quick caveat though. This is a large guitar. If you think you'd want something smaller you might want to look at the EG530 (I think). But you should play it before you buy it anyway so that shouldn't be a problem. So I have no point. And that is neat.
