the saddle

hey the saddle on my guitar came off somehow.can it be replaced or do i have to take it into the shop?

it came off?? is it a new guitar or did you have it for awhile? I'd take it to the shop.

i got the guitar(which is an ibanez acoustic) over the summer. When i was changing the strings it must have come off without me knowing.And since im messy i cant seem to find it.

well if you can find it just stick it back in the saddle is'nt really attached. For a sec there when I read it I thought you where talking about the bridge... :shock: I was like....damn

do u know if its possible to get another one in a place like guitar center?

I'm not sure about guitar center. If you have a luthier in the town where you live he should be able to hook you up. Probably cost about 5 to 10 bucks.

dude this is simple. go to a place like guitar center or your local guiatr store and tell them what is up. if they are cool they will let you HAVE an extra saddle. guitar center is good for this cuz they are so big this is no sweat off their backs. if not they should have nice bone saddles for sale that'll cost about 5 bucks are way better than a plastic saddle that the ibanez comes with. the difference is night and day.

yeah but like i said, this is no big deal. Just ask nicely.

i had an ibanez that after about 5 months i started noticing string buuzz on the higher frets and i brought it in to a guitar center to ask them what was up and they just traded me for a new one that didn't buzz. most the guys are really cool in there.

the saddle is the white thing that sits on top of the bridge that your strings rest on

i have an ibanez acoustic, and the saddle just comes off. i guess it's supposed to. anyway, didnt know if you thought that ONLY yers comes off :shock:
