Awesome Workout
I just had an awesome workout. 20 minutes non stop stumming 16th notes, on chords and harmonics, and scales had everything tuned down a full step, so it had a cool "keller" sound.
id really recoment doing this, really helps your arms.

not really looking for songs to practice, although those two do give you quite a workout, i'm looking for more repetitive boring drills to improve accuracy and speed.

nice speed and accuracy (especially with a bass) is on any stringlovemonkeymc wrote:not really looking for songs to practice, although those two do give you quite a workout, i'm looking for more repetitive boring drills to improve accuracy and speed.
2--5--12--7 try doing that without missing a beat then you could also do:
---3--2--9--12
--2--5--12--7
again without missing a beat.
I also just strum bar chords up and down the neck really really fast sometimes. Like trying do a power chord d, then a regular open D chord etc.

Code: Select all
E-4-3-2-1 e-1-2-3-4
A-4-3-2-1 B-1-2-3-4
D-4-3-2-1 then G-1-2-3-4
G-4-3-2-1 D-1-2-3-4
B-4-3-2-1 A-1-2-3-4
e-4-3-2-1 E-1-2-3-4
you can move this excercise to any starting fret.
id just recomend geting the 1-4 down at a steady relitivly fast speed, then move it up to 2-5.

What you can do accurately slowly you will learn to do quickly.
Best advice I've ever gotten.
But there is something to be said about endurance and stamina.
EDIT: I mean the best advice re: guitar playing, I was once that if a girl s**** your d*** after you f*** her in her a** - MARRY HER! Whether I agree or not is up for thought.
