I'm thinking of buying one pretty soon, who owns one on the boards and what do you think?

My father-in-law gave me a baritone uke as a joke for Christmas a very long time. I played the crap out of it for about 2 years. A baritone uke is tuned similar to the top 4 strings of a guitar so it is an easy transition. It eventually came all unglued and had to be trashed (it was a cheap one).
I love the uke....I would go for it if I were you.
If you are interested, here is a good site for playing Beatle's songs on a uke:

You're only as strong as the tables you dance on.
my dog has fleas.
Ukes are fun. I found one in a church basement, and the pastor let me have it. Then i got the greatest appalachian bluegrass guitarist to ever live to sign it. Doc Watson is his name. 80 years old and blind. the greatest are always blind...
it's pretty easy to rock. just tune it like i said. (ha, you'll understand this joke after you look at a website about tuning ukes)
