Chet Atkins SST second strap button

Unread post by 6224321 » Fri Jul 30, 2004 3:26 am

Hi Everyone

I play an SST (an Epiphone one, and YES it sounds GREAT thanks to my Pod Line 6 pre-amp) -- I just need a second strap button put on...where should this go?

I was thinking just underside the 14th fret but I don't want to mess anything up...PLEASE HELP!

Thanks in advance

Dave

Probably on the middle of the enck joint, or the lower side of the neck joint... Or you could not do it and have a strap that goes to the headstock.

Straps to the headstock are gay on SST's. I think I'll just put it in the middle of the neck joint. That guitar has taken more beatings that it's deserved -- I'm sure it will handle one more for the team.

Thanks very much!

I don't care for a strap to the headstock. The guitar slides around too much while you're playing. It's hard to get comfortable with it connected at the headstock.
