FIX to Timmy's Typical Situation SOLO TAB (L@LC)... maybe?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

FIX to Timmy's Typical Situation SOLO TAB (L@LC)... maybe?

Unread post by Jonny123 » Sat Jul 24, 2004 11:41 am

First off, I'm retarded. I asked the other day about Timmy's Tripping Billies Solo tab, when I actually meant Typical Situation - duh.

Anyways, found the tab on the site, but I think I found something a bit off. In Timmy's first chord/strumming run, it is tabbed out like this.

Typical Situation solo, L@LC:

Code: Select all

E:----0--0--0---0----------
B:----3--5--8--13---------
G:----4--5--9--12---------
D:--^STRUM RAPIDLY^-
A:--------------------------
E:--------------------------
But it sounded off to me... this sound more correct:

Code: Select all

E:----0--0--0---0----------
B:----3--6--10--13---------
G:----4--5--9---12---------
D:--^STRUM RAPIDLY^-
A:--------------------------
E:--------------------------
Listen to the CD and play those two with it (it's an easy part too!)- it sounds more correct to me, but I may be wrong. Just want some second opinions.

Wasn't it firedancer who tabbed it originally?
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

Yes it was Firedancer86 that tabbed it. He is an amazing tallent and was a great contributor to these boards. He pops in every so often, but from what I remember, he says he does not have Internet access anymore.

I do remember him from a long time ago. He was certainly a master tabber.
