More well known but still worthy of being on the list: Leo Kottke, Phil Keaggy, Alex de Grassi, John Fahey, Bill Frisell, Muriel Anderson.

Feel free to share some other "no name" guitarists/artrists that kick their popular counterparts ass. And for those of you who know any of these people don't give me a speech about how they're very well known in the guitar playing world blah de blah blah. I'm talking household names.

Leo Kottke has some really cool tunes. And the CD that he did with Mike Gordon from Phish was really cool.

I really dig Alex de Grassi. I'm not sure he's the best on that list, but he's one of my favorites.

He's the only one whose name I recognize. I'm not exactly sure how, either.
