I have an electric guitar that is really...uh...i don't know what you'd call it, but it's sound is really rough. is there a pedal i can buy or something that would give me a smoother sound?

yeah if your action is too low, it could be fret ringing. also theres this "acoustic excie" effect box that you plug your guitar into and then that into your amp, that gives a really hot acoustic sounds.

i need some more details.

is it noisy? Like when you aren't playing is there hiss or hum? or When you play the notes are not clear but rather fuzzy?

either way it might be an amp problem as well. If you can, plug in another guitar and see if the amp works ok for that. then plug guitar into another amp.

then get back to me.
