Inlay help!!!!!!!!!

Unread post by Coldchillin » Wed Apr 28, 2004 10:21 am

Hello! it's been a while. anywho, I recently bought a Takamine EAN45C. Awesome guitar! So underrated. The tone is exceptional!!!! Anyway, the fret board looks a little plain to me (not even dots for the markings) and I was wondering if there was any way I could get inlays put on. I wrote to customer service there, but no response. I know taylor guitars can have them put on, but is there anywhere I can take/send it???? Any help is much appreciated!

Wow no response from Takamine? they have always been good to me in the past especially about responding to my dumb questions. Anywho, i suggest looking for a luthier (person who builds guitars) in your area. I have no idea how much it would cost probably depends on how elaborate you want but im sure they would have no problem adding inlays its a pretty simple process. I would begin by searching the net. Good luck! any questions feel free to IM/E-mail me

if your fretboard already has dots in it, the inlay would have to be placed around the dots. id just say wait til you get a better guitar to get a better inlay if youd like.

I don't have dots on mine. Plus this guitar is amazing. I don't want another one yet.
