Anyone excited about upcoming CD?

A lot of people are comparing this album to Everyday because they're doing it all from the studio again, but I'm personally expecting a lot from it.

i can't remember where i hear/read this, but he said that it was going to be centered around carter this time. he referenced the fact that 'if you have a strong hand in your band, might as well use it'...or something like that

i doubt it'll be too much like everyday, cause that was basically glen and dave, i think the band is due for a fresh new sound, kinda how BTCS was a lot different than Crash

That's awesome! Ok, it will definitely be awesome, simply because of the fact that Carter is the man!

I hope its centered around carter because I think his feel for music were what drove the first few albums, and I'd really like to see a return to that style again.

Well said. I agree 100% with that. Dave better be telling us the truth!

Didn't dave already have most of the songs that were on the first few albums writen before he met carter?

anyway, I think this album definitly has potential to be good. I hope they road test some material this year.

Hmmm...an interesting point. Well I'm pretty sure he hadn't written any of the ones from Crash, with the exception of maybe a couple, and that album will always remain one of my favorites.

No.. dave only had a few songs written and getting the band together fueled his mind to make more songs.. most of them were written by the band and him and were road tested for a while

It will be great. I heard in a Rolling Stone interview that they wrote a large chunch of BTCS in the studio and that's why it sounds the way it does. Dave said that he wanted to do something like that again. I really hope that this next album is something special.

I might have mentioned this in another thread, but my friend talked to Boyd at a book signing not to long ago & Boyd said they might finally release Granny on this or the next album!

That would rock, because I absolutely love that song. That would be enough to make it my favorite album of all time.
