Unless I've lost the ability to read tab of course.
The tab here is how Dave played it last summer, when the song debuted (with multiple videos to confirm it). I wasn't paying enough attention during Roseland, but he may have changed the way he plays it while in the studio.

I agree with you, Kanter's tab seems a bit cluttered, and this is what I play and it sounds fine.

Code: Select all

E:---3------3--3-------3------3-------3------3---
B:---3------1--3-------3------1-------1------3---
G:-0-0----3-0--0----3--0------0---3---0----3-0---
D:-----------------------------------------------
A:----------------------------3-------3----------
E:-----------------------------------------------
Here's a clip, I keep accidentally hitting the open D but it works.

I think he gets the 1 on the b string in there on the first lick too.

why did you tab "trouble with you" in drop-d? just curious, it works, but it sounds just fine in standard.

You should think about adding the American Baby Intro. I believe he is playing:

Code: Select all

e---2----2----2----3----------
b---3----3----3----3----------
g---4----2----2----0----------
d---4----0----0----0----------
a---2--------------2----------
E-------------2----3----------
