Well I have a Martin Hd 28 which I consider a decent "axe" as you say and leave it on the guitar stand when I'm not using it. Meh.

I lean mine against my dresser when not being played. either that I just leave it lying on my bed. either way isn't gonna hurt it. If my room was 100 degrees with 100% humidity, than it would be in the case. either that or not in my room at all. yeah, I'd probably just move to a cooler place.
