I live / work in the Virginia Beach, VA area. A girl that works for me went back to her hometown on Ohio one time to visit family. When she was driving back here from Ohio, she had to travel on Route I-64 that goes past Charlottesville. Well she was driving along and came up on the rear of a Subaru that was driving like an old lady.....so she passed it....and guess who was driving? Yep, Dave himself. Now she is a huge Dave fan and she wanted to make sure, so without drawing attention to herself she slowed down to get behind him. On the rear bumper was a bumper sticker that said "Do it for Fenton" so she knew it was him.
She sped up agian to pullalong side him....beeped her horn...he looked over and she flashed the CD cover of Busted Stuff at him and gave him the thumbs up (it was around the time Busted Stuff had come out). He smiled and geve her the eyebrow thing.
She didn't want to look like a stalker so she passed him and went on her way.

So he does drive a Subaru. She did say that it looked kind of old....apparently Dave is not very materialistic when it comes to cars.
Hahahhaha, awesome story.

...or anything for that matter.

Damn, If dave ever gave me that upturned brow thing I'd jizz my pants.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

Me and my cuzin from omaha went up to the winnipeg show on 5/8/1988 and we didnt have tickets so we thought we were gonna buy some off some dude with extra tickets...unfortunately we didnt get any, so we decided to go to the mall a block away from Walker Theatre.(keep in mind this was about noon). so we were entering the mall, and no shit, we see DAVE MATTHEWS walking out the doors with a 24 pack of Coors Light..we both pist ourselves and ran over to him. he asked us if we were going to the show tonight and we said we didnt have tickets, he ended up getting us 2nd row tickets for FREE.....yes FREEEE... but back to the car thing, after we talked to him, we said bye and thanks and then he hopped into his little shitty subaru outback...it was the best moment of my life
