Something is is popular one time, isnt popular forever.
But it's still going to be pop. It's not like classical is classical one day then jazz the next.

classical is not jazz. No matter how long time passes, classical music...is not jazz. How the hell did you come up with classical and jazz?
You do know that back in 50's and 40's jazz was actually popular?
