Holy shit i am loving this cd. I know its not another BTCS or UTTAD, but it is different in a good way. In my stupid head, I hear a lot of an african influence in this album, maybe im off my rocker (only listened to the first too tracks so far too) but i get a cool african vibe from it.
And if you ask me, it kind of follows their theme of never writing a similar cd and giving every album a unique and consistent feel throughout the album.
Two tracks later im liking it less. Stand up sounds horrible, smooth rider sounds kind of like 70's cheese rock.
Everybody wake up sounds like it might be great live, but the distortion and voice effects sound like crap.
God Baston should be shiot for butchering hello again. how could you ruin such a good song?

That's what I thought too...I was thinking it maybe came from the trip to Africa Dave did with Trey and Orchestra Baobab.checkii wrote:Holy shit i am loving this cd. I enjoy the CD, but all this FBI and Copywright stuff is pissing me off so bad. I want to burn three copies, one for me (i like to preserve the original), one for my little sister, and one for my dad. And it doesn't work every way I've tried to burn.
Geez "the man" is bringin me down!
EDIT: I got it to burn, but it would only let me burn shitty MP3s.

Alright, I bought the CD today at Target, and it skips like all hell from the third song on! I'm pretty bummed, I liked what I had heard so far. Anybody wanna hook me up with the rest?
edit: sorry, ignore the solicitation, I'm just getting a little antsy.

Alright, so I finally got smart and realized that I can flip the disc over and listen to it on DVD. First thought, does anybody else thing "Everybody Wake Up" sounds a little bit like a Peter Gabriel song? Maybe it's just me. Overall, it's ok. I was a little worried after what a lot of people were saying, but I'm satisified for now. I really dig the first two songs. I'll reserve further judgement until I can listen to it a few more times.
