Damn! I didn't think my exit letter was that big of a deal. I see there were 6 pages of replies and mostly negative ones at that. Maybe one day people will see where i was coming from. Thanks again

I'm actually from Massachusetts, but I'll be heading to college in a few weeks in Philadelphia.

I called you a poser, because you were/maybe still are all about getting attention...

How you were fed up with the new DMB fans and the direction of the music...

It was pretty lame and annoying at the time...

Ben Harper: 6/22/04 (Hammersmith Apollo, London UK)

No, I wasn't looking for attention and am certainly not looking for it now. And, I definetly wouldn't go to a message board and summon people to inflate my ego. (Thats pretty lame since we are only sharing words & thoughts electronically)I would just go up on stage and play guitar as I did last night if I wanted an ego boost.

And what is wrong with my opinion on being fed up with the new generation of fans at shows. I think they need to learn etiqutte & respect towards others who are trying to have an amazing time. When I see DMB in concert or D&T I am in heaven, its absolute bliss to me. The world can end right there and I would go out with a smile on my face. So its troubling when people are imposing on my experience & my memories.

I don't feel like that's lame at all. I think its lame & annoying that people have to be assholes. ANd what was so specifically wrong with the time at what I wrote that message. Were you menstrating?

I don't see how you can't agree with that.

i dont mind the assholes as long as they don't say or do anything directly at me... what i hate are the people who get pissed off when they dont play crash or ants and say the set was worthless because of it

I just hate people that damn particular songs with saying why. Like: "Crash sucks a major dick because it just does." I can't stand that. If it was: "Crash sucks because it is too easy or overplayed or draggy." Thats good, because it is constuctive criticism.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

I completely agree with you on the behavior of fans at shows today...

I just didn't agree with you having to bring it to everyone's attention that the DMB community was no longer worthy of your attention because of the new fans...

Get over yourself, and just listen to and enjoy the damn music...

I have no hard feelings, I'm just not going to act like I'm elated at your return...

Welcome back, and lets get back to what DMB is all about...

The music...

My Biggest Pet Peeve: Drunk assholes yelling "FOURTY-ONE" at the top of their lungs at D&T shows. They've decided on the setlist before the show and it's almost definitely not going to change because of your obnoxious yelling in the quiet parts of Cry Freedom or during Timmy's solos.

Go to hell and die.
