you got all these ideas from everyone.......go through ur favorite songs and whichever feels comfortable to start with should be the song u start with

Don't mind having people coming in with others songs they suggest though.

Crash into me i liked, its not that hard if you get a hang of that stretch, i figured Proud monkey out within a few (That ones really simple!) hehe, uhm.. I tried tripping billies but i find that one pretty hard.

Gz! *Also, the strumming, seems he indeed ALWAYS strums but just doesnt hit the snares 60% of the time, i find it hard to get a hang of its strumming.

For strumming, I started with Lie in our Graves. Practice the first four beats of the intro, including the dead struming (Sixteenth note pattern after the D major chord). That was my first strumming pattern that is very common in Dave songs. Good luck. As my first guitar teacher said....it will come in time.
