I just never knew you guys didnt know who he was. I dont mean to offend you but that just seems wierd because there are other american bands that you have heard of.

You learn something new everyday.

yeah he's relativley unknown over here, although he's just sold out 3 events in a row pretty easily so......

but yeah, looks like they are going to try and crack the UK again, but with a better management team this time. Be great if they do.

No one knows who Dave Matthews is over here. Something he was clearly unhappy about last night, you know,

I need a bunch of gigs I can put up as examples for newbies.[/quote]

pretty cool, spreading the good word. keep it up!

Yep. Could do with a hand at some stage...

It's wierd. Even if his management marketing is crap, you'd think that over the 15 years, the magnitude of the success would have seeped through to England. But they really are unknown over here. Really. Relatively, he's sold out 3 tiny gigs. Girls Aloud (don't ask) would out sell him anytime. But did you notice out the back, he had his own coach and a 7.5 tonne truck. That's just for him. I think they'd be out of pocket if they all come over.

Sorry, haven't got a gigs worth of space. If you chop it up, I could put it up in bits.

Yeah, but look at it the other way. How big is Robbie Williams over here? And i think the US hate him. So.... different cultures i think. Over here we love shitty pop music so much, in saying that the past yea or two, bands are getting bigger and bigger and pop seems to be fading,so maybe now is the time for them to come.

And i think they have made enough cash in thier carrers to take a small hit by coming to the UK :D

I can't use it though, it's copyrighted.
I'm sure a fan taped the show. You can get someone to send you a copy of the central park show that a fan taped and you could post that without breaking any copyright laws. Just make sure you get a good quality version as I'm sure there are multiple versions.

It's ridiculous how no one knows about them and the tour he did recently wasn't that big. I mean James blunt is playing hyde park! Hyde park thats 60,000 minimum max 260,000. Often people do 4 or 5 dates in a row at hammersmith and sell them out easily, like prodigy did 6 nights in a row at brixton academy, which is the same size as hammersmith.

However if dave goes main stream in the u.k it could be a bit gay. Everyone who is a dave fan in the u.k now is a real fan who owns LWS and RTT etc.

It would mean a lot more u.k touring though

STLflmmkr wrote:my favorite show that i have is 3-23-93. The first half dave plays alone. Many of the songs he plays alone are songs you would associate with the rest of the band. Then the band comes in. I dont know if I would use it to prove they are the best live band though. The sounds quality is good but not the best.
3.23.93 and the Yoshi's shows for sure
