Stone picking question
Thanks for the replies. I'm getting pretty close, I think I just need to practice it now. I'm picking rather than strumming, but I've noticed that when I get into it I'll start to strum a little and it still sounds right. I mute the e and B without really thinking about it, but trying to mute the low E with my third finger screws me up. It seems easier just to not hit that one on the strum.

yeah muting that string has been tough for me, so it is just a practice of staying away from itZoso249 wrote:...but trying to mute the low E with my third finger screws me up. It seems easier just to not hit that one on the strum.
I can't believe that we would lie in our graves wondering if we had spent our living days well, and I can't believe that we would lie in our graves dreaming of things that we might have been...
You do get it. the hard part is that low E with the 3rd finger it looks like he only mutes it on the first note then lifts. I have been keeping it on through the hole thing kind of hooking the top of my finger over the low E, and yes when you go fast just like dave you will hit more strings this is pick/strumming. This style of playing if more relaxed than picking I think, and has more of a full sound to it, and harder to screw up.
