Is that where everybody goes? Have you been there before?
yes, I've been. DO NOT camp in the ticketmaster campground. The only good thing about it is that you can walk from the campground to the venue. Every other campground you have to either drive or shuttle (but almost all offer a shuttle, which is really the best way to go because Washington St. Police conduct massive DUI busts.)

The TM campground doesn't have any shade at all, and they cram you in like sardines. The best place is Getty's Cove ( http://www.gettyscove.com ). The rest of the area is pretty barren, but they have trees and it's next to the colombia river, so it's nice there. They have 50 reservable sites and 150 first come, first serve sites. I think the first come first serve sites are nicer, but you have to get there Wednesday or Thurs morning at the latest to get a decent one. There will still be spots later, but they'll be in the less-desireable areas.

If anyone has any questions about the gorge, feel free to ask. I did my homework when I went, so I have a pretty thorough knowledge of the entire area.
I'll drink to that, I once was drinking a thomas kemper root beer in a car in an albertsons parkng lot and the cops questioned me.

I purposely didn't reserve a camping spot this year along with my gorge tickets to leave my options open.

So I'm interested in that other campground as well, because the main campground generally sucks. We were there in 2003 and these idiots near our van kept lighting firecrackers and playing Busted Stuff with the volume all the way up and on continuous repeat. I love the album, but after hearing it five times in the course of a night, it gets OLD.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

Right on man, thanks for the info. We were thinking about renting a car in Vancouver but if the cops are crazy on DUI then not having a car will cut down on some hassle. Do you (or anyone for that matter) know how the shuttle from Seattle works? Because I just checked and it cheaper to fly there than Van City

I'm talking about the shuttle from the campground to the actual gorge venue. :) There is no shuttle from SeaTac airport...it's quite a drive. You'll have to post on some discussion boards and find a ride from seattle if that's what you're looking for. You might be better off renting a car if you can.

Oh yeah I know. My friend had mentioned though that there was a seperate shuttle that leaves from the airport. Maybe we'll rent a car in Seattle
