They don't use the preamps on the guitars though, so would it really matter that much?

there was a discussion on this a while ago, i dunno how truthful it was but someone said that taylors are known to cut through a band better due to it's high trebble...supposedly the martin would blend in due to it's low bass...i dunno when i heard shows pre 2000 era i thought i heard the guitar just fine. I love taylor tho, and i'm glad he uses them.

pre 2000 was the chet, great great sound from that
